ADF YOU Session Prep Course
The YOU Session is a phone or video interview with an ADF Careers Coach. It determines whether you move forward in the enlistment process. Most candidates fail it because they are underprepared — not because they are unfit to serve.
The YOU Session Catches Candidates Who Are Otherwise Ready
It is not a fitness test or an aptitude test. It is a structured interview — and most candidates treat it like a casual chat. The Careers Coach is assessing you against a specific checklist.
10 Modules. Every Question Covered.
Each module walks you through real YOU Session questions — what the Careers Coach is looking for, what not to say, and how to frame your answer.

FAQ
What exactly is the YOU Session?
The YOU Session is a structured phone or video interview with an ADF Careers Coach. It typically takes place a few weeks after your Job Offer Appointment (JOA). The coach assesses your motivation, role knowledge, fitness awareness, and understanding of ADF policies. It is one of the final steps before an enlistment offer is made.
Is this course affiliated with the ADF?
No. ADFTestPrep.com is an independent preparation resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Australian Defence Force or Defence Force Recruiting. All content is based on publicly available information and candidate experience.
I am applying for an enlisted role, not Officer. Is this still relevant?
Yes. Modules 1 through 9 cover everything relevant to enlisted candidates. Module 8 covers Officer-specific questions, which you can skip if it does not apply to you.
How long do I have access to the course?
You have 90 days of access from the date of purchase. You can rewatch any module as many times as you need within that period.
What if my YOU Session is in a few days?
The course is short enough to complete quickly. Focus on the modules for your weakest areas first, then work through the rest before your call.
